St Barth Fun Cup - Jan 27-29, 2012
From the 27th to the 29th of January 2012, a new sportive event of International dimension will be held in St Barts : The Saint Barth Fun Cup,
This new windsurfing competition will give interesting and nice confrontation between European racers, Caribbean ones and some of the world best windsurfers.
The Saint Barth Fun Cup will take place just of few days before the first contest of the PWA 2012 World Tour.
Long distance and slalom races will be organized arround Saint barth during 3 days, all that with some first choice competitors such as Antoine Albeau ( 19 times World champion as well as speed recordman), Julien Quentel, Pierre Mortefon and for sure the local Antoine Questel. Kevin Pritchard will be also here ( 10 times World Champion).
Other national and international windsurfers will be present for this évent.
5 races are planned in total ( 2 slalom ones and 3 long distance ones). They will be held between Grand Cul de Sac lagoon and St Jean Bay.
In addition to the compétition, some free style wave exhibitions are planned.
Next to the contest, festivities won’t miss : Concerts, parties. Some surprises are also expected for the occasion.
This event will certainly reinforce Saint Barth status as the perfect water sports destination.
