Description
Eden Rock – St Barths evolved from an imaginatively sited private house built about sixty years ago by Rémy de Haenen – a pioneering aviator and treasure seeker - who became the first Mayor of the Island of St Barths and who died only recently, aged 94, having lived the fullest of lives. Effort is made to encourage that spirit to live-on.
During 1995, Eden Rock changed ownership from one family to another, for the first time. David and Jane Matthews and their children Nina, James, Michael and Spencer, undertook the job of restoring the original buildings, whilst at the same time adding some new ones with the pace quickening following the purchase of the next door Hotel Filao Beach, in 2001.
Eden Rock has now been lovingly restored from stem to stern and finishes up with 34 superbly different accommodations including two ultra-luxe Villas, being Villa Nina with own art gallery, and Villa Rockstar with a music recording studio and one bathroom tiled of pure white gold – and in both cases with many other interesting features…
Butler service is provided 24/7 in both villas by an efficient team of butler, girls and boys.
Eden Rock seeks to continue to evolve a non-corporate world class family owned hotel and residence business equipped with wonderful restaurants, bars, boutiques and sea sport facilities. Its really like a little stand-alone village perched on the edge of the Caribbean ocean…

Rates policy
Prices include:
V.I.P airport transfers in a spacious air conditioned chauffeur driven vehicle dedicated solely to you
a warm and personal greeting on arrival with champagne or drinks of choice served on The Angels Terrace
a personal tour of Eden Rock ending within your own reserved cottage, room, suite or house
a really splendid breakfast buffet, daily
soft white sandy beaches with loungers, shady umbrellas, kayaks, snorkelling equipment and sea-sports generally
a well equipped gym
A minimum stay of 3 nights is required. For a stay of 3 nights to 6 nights, a 3 nights deposit is requested.
For a stay of 7 nights and more, we request 50% of the total stay amount.
Additional persons over six years old will be charged @ 135€ per night.
Rates are quoted in euros per accommodation per night and may be subject to change without notice.
A single local government tax of 5% of the room rate is payable by guests of St Barths hotels and rental villas.
Cancellation policy
Please be aware that in the case of cancellation, the hotel is to be notified in writing at least 45 days prior to the reserved arrival date if the deposit is to be refunded (30 days for arrivals from April 18th to December 16th, 2011). If notification is received within 45 days of your arrival (30 days for arrivals from April 18th to December 16th, 2010) the following cancellation fees will be charged:
- From January 04th to April 17th 2011 cancellation - 15 to 45 days prior to arrival - the full deposit will be forfeited. Less than 15 days prior to arrival - the entire stay will be charged.
- From April 18th to December 16th 2011cancellation - 10 to 29 days prior to arrival - the full deposit will be forfeited. Less than 10 days prior to arrival - the entire stay will be charged.
In case of no-show or early check-out it will be necessary to charge the full stay. Changes to the reservation including arrival and departure dates are subject to approval and written agreement between the parties.
